Tadeco Livelihood is a Community Development program of Tagum Agricultural Development  Co.,Inc.,
(TADECO), a leading banana exporter in Mindanao.   TADECO, a primary producer of abaca in 1950’s that shifted to banana production in 1969, undertakes community development programs for its workers and their families. One such programs is TLTC which initiates livelihood programs that put to good use the time and potentials of the idle family members of the workers.
Over the years, TLTC has grown from base of 20 dependents to more than 300 workers, highly trained in making export-quality handicrafts from indigenous materials. Among its highly sought products is the natural paper processed from banana, pineapple or abaca fibers, made into stationeries, paper bags, gift boxes and other environment-friendly, novelty items.
